DOWNSIZING

Well, it begins!  Starting off with the smallest room in the house The Master Closet!  OUCH!

I think I am going to have some problems here!  Although I have to say, our daughter did call us yesterday and state that if we needed closet space for our seasonal clothes she was willing to help us out at least for a couple of years so we can decide how we wanted to approach this.

  1. Downsizing can be so much fun. It is such a good way to clean out and throw out or give away all those things you haven't seen or worn in years. Then after a year you realize you really don't need near that many clothes. Great feeling - at least that's how I feel about it.

    1. We are working on it...........The closet I don't think is going to be our problem, it is going to be the sentimental things, the collections and such.............HUMMMMMM, here the dilemmas will rise!

  2. Hi to you both and thanks so much for your comments on my blog. It's nice to know that the people reading want to give something back in the way of a comment. Unfortunately we are often in sketchy signal areas like here in Shenandoah National Park and can't watch the videos but from my 5 years of full time experience I think being cautious about what you get rid of until you are absolutely sure this is the life for you is a wise thing to do. Good for your daughter. That said, anything we hadn't used in the past year was sold/given away or sent to the great beyond and it was wonderful. But special things, we stored those. Someday we will come off the road and I will want them again in my life.

    1. That is my thoughts too........I have several pieces of furniture that is custom built from when we lived overseas and we can't replace them. Thank you for replying to our post.

  3. As most have suggested "if you haven't used something in a while then you won't need it"
The way we looked at it is that it is just "STUFF". You no longer own it, it owns you and robs you of you freedom to travel and space to store it.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. Yes it does start taking ownership of you instead of you owning it, that I can agree. Thank you for reading our post.
